I help others fight poverty. Now it’s me in need.
Help me raise a one-off $2,700 to get my family back on its feet.

My name is Anthony, a farmer here in eastern Uganda. I come from a rather challenging background. My region Busoga, is also Uganda’s poorest.
I have, however, decided to be a changemaker in my region, and I am the founder of the Uganda Community Farm (UCF), a nonprofit fighting extreme poverty.
But because I am also only emerging from total poverty, there are times when it becomes very difficult to support myself & my family, besides the work of the UCF. That is exactly the situation I am in right now. I am finding it very hard to keep my family on its feet. Think of me as a doctor who finds himself in need of other doctors’ help!
How I ended up here:
Normally, I earn some money from the crops I grow myself at the UCF, but last year was mostly droughts. Additionally, our sorghum project, where I train other farmers in our region to grow white sorghum, is also on a standstill due to financial constraints.
A little hand — on my kids’ tuition and basic needs — is all I need:
My current situation isn’t permanent. Everything will eventually return to normal. Due to current circumstances, however, my biggest challenge right now is tuition for my 3 kids who attend a school in Uganda’s capital Kampala, and essential needs for my family.
Recently, I paid my kids’ tuition for term 1 2026 (see receipts 1, 2, 3) but this has left us with no money for daily essentials, yet tuition for term 2 and 3 will be needed soon.
If you can help me raise $2,700 now, I’ll use $2,200 to pay Term 2 and Term 3’s tuition for my 3 kids ($1,100 for the 3 kids per term) & $500 on a year’s worth of basic needs for my family. This will leave my kids’ tuition covered for the whole of 2026, and will get us to a point where the crops we are growing at the UCF will be able to sustain us.
